Singleton Beef and Land Management Association marks 40 years
The Singleton Beef and Land Management Association is marking its 40th anniversary with a dinner on Saturday, 5 September, at the Singleton Diggers Club in New South Wales. Founded in 1986, the group has focused on educating young people about farming through events such as Prime Stock Competitions, Agricultural Education Days, junior cattle judging and field days across the Hunter Valley.
Over four decades the association has also organised study tours to New Zealand and Canada to expose members to international beef‑industry practices. Hundreds of students each year gain hands‑on experience, and the organisation highlights the mentorship of two generations of volunteers. The anniversary dinner will bring together past and present members, sponsors and community partners to celebrate the association’s history and its ongoing role in strengthening Australian agriculture.
