Singleton Christian College wins court case for $15M expansion

Singleton Christian College has secured a court victory to proceed with a $15 million expansion project. The development aims to build a new two-storey classroom building and increase parking capacity, allowing the student population to grow from its current levels to 700 pupils.

The project had previously faced opposition from the Hunter and Central Coast Regional Planning Panel, which had refused the application due to concerns regarding traffic congestion and insufficient infrastructure. The panel had suggested requirements such as a dedicated right-hand turning lane and a cap on student numbers until the completion of the Singleton bypass in late 2026.

Christian Education Ministries Pty Ltd lodged an appeal in October 2025 to resolve these disputes. The school currently serves students from kindergarten to year 12.
