Siniakova and Townsend win US Open doubles to complete career Grand Slam

Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend completed a career doubles Grand Slam by winning the US Open women’s doubles title. The top-seeded duo defeated American players Ashlyn Krueger and Robin Montgomery with a score of 5-7, 6-0, 6-2.

This victory marks the first time Siniakova and Townsend have won a Grand Slam together, following their previous titles at Wimbledon (2024), the Australian Open (2025), and Roland Garros (2026). The win is historic for Siniakova, who became the first player to complete a career Grand Slam in doubles with two different partners, having previously achieved the feat with Barbora Krejcikova.

After dropping the first set due to several double faults by Siniakova, the pair dominated the remainder of the match, winning 12 consecutive points in the second set to secure the title.
