Sinj begins construction on digital agriculture innovation center

Renovation works are set to begin on the historic “Štalija” building in Sinj to establish an Innovation Center for Digital Agriculture. The project aims to create an educational, scientific, and economic hub that connects university research with the needs of local farmers and the economy of the Cetina region.

The facility will include two laboratories, three offices, a classroom, an IT practicum, and a co-working space. The Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Split will conduct study programs in Mediterranean Agriculture and Agronomy at the center, allowing local students to study within their own city.

Construction is being carried out by the company Prolux d. o. o. with a total value of approximately 1.94 million euros including VAT. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the “Revitalization of brownfield locations in the Split Urban Agglomeration” call and is expected to be completed within 12 months.
