Sinj Mayor Miro Bulj urges PM Plenković to create General Hospital

Mayor Miro Bulj of Sinj sent an open letter to Prime Minister Andrej Plenković demanding that the government launch the process to establish a General Hospital in Sinj. He asked for an immediate response on when the hospital will be founded, the restoration of the afternoon laboratory shift, continuous pediatric care, and a halt to further closures of health services in Sinj and the wider Cetinska region.

Bulj highlighted that more than 50,000 residents are affected by the recent shutdown of the local maternity ward, reductions in other services and a shortage of doctors, forcing many patients to travel to KBC Split. He argued that health care is unevenly distributed across Croatia, with other areas receiving new hospital infrastructure while Sinj’s services are being cut, and called for equitable, safe and dignified health care for the community.
