Sinop announces Festeja Sinop 2026 anniversary celebrations

The municipality of Sinop has announced the programming for 'Festeja Sinop 2026', a series of events celebrating the city's 52nd anniversary. The festivities will take place across various locations, including the Gigante do Norte Stadium and Praia do Cortado.

At the Gigante do Norte Stadium, the schedule includes the opening of the 34th Sinop Olympic Games and 3rd Paralympic Games on August 30. Musical attractions include religious shows by Padre Fábio de Melo and Maria Marçal, as well as a performance by the duo Edson & Hudson. The stadium will also host the 'Festa das Entidades' to support non-profit institutions.

Praia do Cortado, located on the banks of the Teles Pires River, will host activities from August 30 to September 13. This includes the 3rd Nautical Pilgrimage, fishing tournaments for kayaks and boats, and the 'Festival de Praia' featuring regional artists and national performers such as Xanddy Harmonia. Other scheduled activities include the 'Ciclo Festeja' cycling competition and inclusive programs like 'Banho Assistido' for the elderly and people with disabilities.
