Sinop celebrates 52nd anniversary with Festeja Sinop festival

The municipality of Sinop is celebrating its 52nd anniversary with the Festeja Sinop 2026 program. The festivities include the 3rd Romaria nas Águas, a 10-kilometer fluvial procession along the Teles Pires River, starting from Praia Barra do Rio Verde and ending at Praia do Cortado.

Security and logistics for the event are being coordinated by the City Hall in conjunction with the Military Police, Fire Department, and Municipal Civil Guard to manage traffic and public safety. The celebration also features the opening of the 34th Sinop Olympic Games and the 3rd Paralympic Games.

A major national highlight of the program is a free concert by Padre Fábio de Melo at the Massami Uriú Municipal Stadium. Additionally, the city has invested in new infrastructure, including a 64-seat bus for the Secretariat of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to facilitate the transport of athletes and cultural groups.
