Sinop eliminates waiting list for customized wheelchairs

The Municipal Health Secretariat of Sinop has eliminated its waiting list for customized wheelchairs and bath chairs at the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER). This achievement follows an investment of R$ 100,000 in the sector throughout 2026, funded by the municipality's own resources.

The most recent delivery included five Ethnos Life model wheelchairs and four bath chairs with propulsion rims, totaling approximately R$ 30,000. Unlike temporary loan services, these specialized pieces of equipment are provided for the permanent and exclusive use of the patients.

To ensure proper posture and comfort, equipment is manufactured based on detailed clinical screenings and specific body metrics, such as hip width and trunk control. This service supports patients with conditions including cerebral palsy and West Syndrome, providing greater autonomy for daily activities and school attendance.
