Sinop hosts seniors for Mato Grosso longevity tourism circuit

A group of 26 seniors from Cuiabá recently participated in the Circuito Mato-grossense da Longevidade, a tourism itinerary specifically designed for individuals over the age of 60. The tour spanned three municipalities within the Agro Corridor: Nova Mutum, Sinop, and Sorriso.

During their stay in Sinop, the group visited several local landmarks, including the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Cathedral, Curupy Acqua Park, and Chácara Recanto da Lagoa. The project is an initiative of the Sebrae Tourist Itinerary Agents Program, supported by the Sinop City Hall, and focuses on integrating culture, gastronomy, leisure, and nature.

Local authorities emphasized that the visit highlights Sinop's potential to serve diverse tourist profiles through rural, nature, and cultural tourism. Chácara Recanto da Lagoa was noted as the first rural tourist attraction registered with the Sinop City Hall, benefiting from technical support and consultancy through a partnership between the local Tourism Directorate and Sebrae.
