Sinop launches 10th Municipal Health Conference to shape SUS policies

The municipality of Sinop will host its 10th Municipal Health Conference on Tuesday, 16 May, at the Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso auditorium. Organized by the city health secretariat and the Municipal Health Council, the free‑entry event aims to review achievements, discuss challenges and develop proposals for strengthening Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) at municipal, state and federal levels.

Participants – including health managers, workers, SUS users and civil‑society representatives – will hear opening remarks from Health Secretary Érico Stevan and Council President Yury Bezerra. The programme features thematic panels on financing, fiscal sustainability, climate‑related health emergencies, socio‑environmental justice and integrated care models. In the afternoon, attendees will split into working groups to draft twelve concrete proposals that will represent Sinop at the upcoming state‑level health conference and elect delegations for the state event.
