Brazilian municipalities implement tax updates and business training
Several Brazilian municipalities are implementing measures related to tax reform and entrepreneurship development. In Sinop, the City Hall has begun notifying businesses regarding discrepancies between declared revenue and issued service tax (ISSQN) invoices. Through the ‘Regulariza Sinop’ program, taxpayers can voluntarily regularize their status with up to 100% discounts on interest and fines until August 31, 2026.
Rondonópolis is transitioning its electronic service invoice (NFS-e) system to the National Issuer managed by the Federal Revenue Service, with a migration deadline of November 1, 2026. Additionally, the city is hosting lectures on public procurement in partnership with Sebrae to help local entrepreneurs access government markets.
Sebrae is also conducting various training programs across different regions, including Barretos, Nova Friburgo, and Trajano de Moraes. These sessions focus on entrepreneurial behavior, social media marketing, artificial intelligence, and tourism opportunities to strengthen local small businesses.
