Sinop Mayor Orders Asphalt Repair on Alberto Baranjak Street

The municipality of Sinop, Mato Grosso, Brazil, ordered the contractor to redo the asphalt paving on Alberto Baranjak Street after engineers found technical non‑conformities. Mayor Roberto Dorner, during a site visit on Tuesday the 28th, said the work did not match the project's elevation specifications, risking drainage and road integration, and stressed that the municipality will not pay for the defective work.

The city's engineering team, led by contract inspector Ariel Nikolak Correia, conducted a topographic survey after the earthworks and identified differences between the designed and executed grades. The contractor was formally notified to correct the deficiencies at no cost to the municipality, and the work will be accepted only after compliance.
