Sinop announces 2027 budget and administrative changes

The City of Sinop is implementing several administrative and budgetary measures for 2027. During a public hearing, the municipal government presented the 2027 Annual Budget Law (PLOA) project, which projects a consolidated revenue of R$ 1.6 billion. Of this total, approximately R$ 1.4 billion is allocated to the municipal budget, with health and education identified as primary investment priorities.

Mayor Roberto Dorner has also announced an administrative restructuring to include a new Secretariat of Agriculture to support small-scale and family farmers. Additionally, a new Department of the City will be created under the Secretariat of Works and Urban Services to manage urban cleaning and maintenance. To modernize infrastructure, Vice-Mayor Paulinho Abreu and engineering teams recently attended the Paving Conference 2026 in São Paulo to evaluate new technologies and machinery for potential acquisition to improve municipal road and urban services.
