Sinop receives over 70 billion lira in public investment
Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that over 70 billion lira in public investment has been directed to Sinop during current and previous government terms. Speaking at an NGO and business community meeting, Yılmaz emphasized that while public infrastructure like roads, hospitals, and schools is vital, sustainable economic growth requires productive investments from the private sector.
To drive local development, the government has identified four priority investment areas for Sinop with a target of 2026: the production of value-added wood and forest products, five-star accommodation projects, aquaculture production, and the establishment of elderly care centers.
Yılmaz also noted ongoing efforts to expand Sinop University and the local organized industrial zone to bolster the region's economic and industrial potential.
