Sinsheim City Museum to host major anniversary celebrations in 2026

The Sinsheim City Museum and the Friends of Sinsheim History association are preparing for a major anniversary celebration scheduled for September 12 and 13, 2026. The event marks the 80th anniversary of the association and the 60th anniversary of the museum.

The weekend program includes musical performances, historical demonstrations, and lectures. A central feature will be the “Milestones of Sinsheim History,” where historical reenactors will depict various eras ranging from the Bronze Age to the post-war period, showcasing historical crafts such as bronze casting and dyeing.

Activities for visitors include guided tours of the city center and the museum, as well as family-oriented offerings like the Kraichgau play mobile. The celebration also serves to honor long-standing members and reflect on the historical significance of the museum's building, which formerly served as a schoolhouse.
