Sinsheim police arrest 19-year-old after high-speed chase

A 19-year-old driver fled from a police checkpoint in Sinsheim, Germany, on Tuesday morning. After driving at high speeds through various streets and a 30 km/h zone, the driver abandoned a BMW near a glider airfield.

Police located the young man hiding in a depression on the airfield. Investigations revealed that the individual had previously had his license confiscated on October 3 for driving under the influence. He is now being investigated for driving without a license and participating in an illegal motor vehicle race. Authorities are also investigating the vehicle owner for allegedly permitting the unlicensed driving.
