Sint-Jansbasiliek hosts free organ and vocal concert in Oosterhout

The Marktconcerten series continues at the Sint-Jansbasiliek in Oosterhout with its ninth concert of the summer. Organist Wouter van der Wilt, traveling from Rotterdam, will perform alongside his wife, mezzo-soprano Ilse.

The musical program features works by Joseph Haydn, Reynaldo Hahn, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as solo organ pieces and improvisations. The performance utilizes the Maarschalkerweerd organ, which is noted for its ability to provide both subtle and powerful accompaniment for vocal music.
