Sint-Truidense VV builds squad amid transfer talks, posts 4-0 preseason win

Belgian club Sint-Truidense VV (STVV) is negotiating the departure of Uruguayan forward Andrés Ferrari, who has been on loan at Spain's Sporting Gijón. Spanish sources say the player is in Gijón awaiting the closure of a new contract, and STVV expects a transfer fee if he leaves.

In the preseason, STVV defeated Patro Eisden 4‑0 at the Maasland venue. Coach Frédéric De Meyer highlighted the need to cement a starting eleven as several key players have already left. Goals came from Matsuzawa, Sebaoui, Delpupo and Vandegaer, while young prospects such as Frédéric Soèllé and Shinkawa were given minutes as the squad continues to be shaped ahead of the new season.
