Sinterklaas celebrations and charity drives announced in the Netherlands

Sinterklaas celebrations and charitable initiatives are being organized across the Netherlands for the upcoming holiday season. In Soesterberg, the traditional arrival of Sinterklaas and his companions is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026. The festivities will center around Den Berghplein from 17:30 to 18:30, featuring music, dancing, and activities such as coloring contests for children.

In the Leiderdorp region, the broadcaster Centraal+ is organizing the 'Sintvoorieder1' campaign to support children and families in need. The initiative aims to collect 50,000 new gifts for children aged 0 to 17. Residents can donate items such as toys, books, or accessories at the Leiderdorp town hall between November 16 and November 20, 2026. The municipality is assisting with the collection to ensure children who might otherwise go without receive a gift on December 5.
