SiPearl delivers first Rhea1 CPUs for Europe’s JUPITER supercomputer

SiPearl has delivered the first samples of its Rhea1 CPUs to Bull for integration into the BullSequana XH3000 platform. This hardware will power JUPITER, which is set to be Europe’s first exascale supercomputer.

Hosted at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre in Germany and procured by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, the JUPITER project represents a significant step toward European technological sovereignty in high-performance computing and AI. The Rhea1 chip is a complex design featuring 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores, four HBM stacks, and four DDR5 interfaces.

This delivery marks a major economic milestone for SiPearl, representing its first significant revenue. Early benchmarking data from SiPearl’s laboratories indicates that performance is meeting or exceeding expectations, with consolidated figures expected to be released this autumn. The official release of the Rhea1 processor is planned for late 2026.
