SIPINNA Tamaulipas provides sexual health education in Güémez

The Executive Secretariat of the State System for the Integral Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA Tamaulipas) conducted a sexual and reproductive health seminar in Güémez, Tamaulipas. The initiative was part of the efforts by the State Group for the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy (GEPEA).

The session targeted adolescents in conflict with the law who are currently serving measures at the Adolescent Measures Execution Center in Güémez. The program aimed to provide tools and information to promote the responsible exercise of sexual and reproductive rights, encouraging informed decision-making and self-care.

Hilda Elena Martínez Lara from the Health Secretariat District led the talk, focusing on prevention and responsibility through a human rights perspective. Ivette Salazar Márquez, Executive Secretary of SIPINNA Tamaulipas, emphasized the commitment to ensuring adolescents in specialized contexts have access to reliable information to support their well-being and life projects.
