Sipoo opens new pumptrack track in Segrisparken

The municipality of Sipoo has opened a new pumptrack track in Segrisparken, located in Nickby. The facility is designed for a variety of activities, including skating, cycling, scootering, and rollerblading, catering to children, youth, and adults.

An official inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00. The event will feature opening speeches, technical guidance on using the track, playful competitions, and scooter rentals. A pop-up bicycle service will also be available for a fee. Partners for the event include the Sibbo Wolf ice hockey club, Nikkilä bicycle service, and Coach Elina.

Safety guidelines issued by sports coordinator Vilma Kalander advise all users to wear helmets and ideally knee and elbow pads. Users are reminded that faster riders must yield to slower ones and that it is recommended to agree on a common direction of travel. While some finishing work on the site continues, it is not expected to significantly impact usage.
