Siqueira Campos Jr. withdraws from Tocantins gubernatorial race

Siqueira Campos Jr., a businessman and candidate for the governorship of Tocantins representing the Democrata party, has withdrawn his candidacy. On the eve of the election, he announced his support for Senator Professora Dorinha (União Brasil).

Siqueira Campos Jr., the eldest son of former governor José Wilson Siqueira Campos, explained his decision by stating he needed a “faster, stronger boat” to achieve his goals. Professora Dorinha accepted the endorsement, noting their shared commitment to the state of Tocantins.

Siqueira Campos Jr. had previously assumed the candidacy following the replacement of Subtenente Luiz Carlos. The announcement took place in Palmas following a final campaign walk on Saturday.
