Sir Emeka Offor Foundation distributes rice to 3,000 widows in Anambra

The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) distributed 6,000 bags of rice to 3,000 widows in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. This quarterly exercise provided two bags of rice to each widow to compensate for a missed distribution in May.

Chief Sir Emeka Offor, Chairman of the Chrome Group of Companies and founder of SEOF, called on the Anambra State government to implement stricter sanctions against those who exploit or oppress vulnerable individuals, specifically widows. He pledged that the foundation would use legal resources to defend widows who are dispossessed of their property or subjected to abuse.

In addition to food aid, the foundation has previously built houses for widows and plans to construct 20 additional bungalows this year.
