Sir Tom Jones petition reaches 82,000 signatures after The Voice UK exit news

A petition to keep Sir Tom Jones on the coaching panel of The Voice UK has surpassed 82,000 signatures following news that the singer will not return as a full-time coach for the 2027 series.

Sir Tom Jones stated via Instagram that the decision to remove him was made by ITV and was not his own. He noted that while the broadcaster cited a desire to ‘refresh’ the show, he was previously told the reason involved financial difficulties regarding insurance. He expressed dissatisfaction with an offer for a reduced role that would involve appearances without full involvement in the series.

ITV is planning a major overhaul of the talent show for its 15th series. The new coaching lineup will include Cheryl and rapper Aitch, joining returning coaches Kelly Rowland and Will.i.am. The overhaul also sees Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon joining the show, replacing Emma Willis, who is moving to host Strictly Come Dancing.
