Siracusa Free Consortium allocates €700,000 for road maintenance

The Libero Consorzio Comunale di Siracusa has completed road resurfacing on the SP 51 between contrada San Nicola and Belludia in the Noto area. This €700,000 project is part of a broader extraordinary maintenance program for 2026 aimed at improving provincial road safety.

Additional works are underway in the Pachino territory, following the completion of a €600,000 project on the SP 85 Chiaramida-Marzamemi. Current maintenance includes work on the SP 109 bridge in contrada Zisola and the Fiumara ford along the SP 64.

In total, interventions in the Noto territory during the second half of 2026 are expected to exceed €3 million. These projects are funded by ministerial resources, ensuring that local municipal budgets are not impacted. Pietro Rosa, Vice President of the Libero Consorzio, stated that the goal is to address long-standing infrastructure issues and provide concrete solutions to local communities.
