Siracusa launches new experimental urban bus line

A new experimental urban bus service is launching in Siracusa on August 10. The initiative unifies the current 105 Santa Lucia and 106 Ortigia lines into a single Line 105, establishing a direct connection between the historic center, the Santa Lucia district, and the new Sbarcadero square.

The service will depart from the Villini del Foro Siracusano and operates with a frequency of approximately 20-30 minutes. Service hours run until 11:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, with extended hours until 2:00 AM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. To promote the new route, Line 105 will be free of charge on August 14, 15, and 16.
