Siracusa police dismantle illegal gambling den
Police in Siracusa have shut down an unauthorized gambling establishment that was operating under the guise of a recreational center. The facility, which featured foosball tables to appear as an innocent social space, was found to be conducting illegal betting activities without any official licenses.
During the operation, conducted by the State Police's Administrative and Social Squads and the Mobile Squad, officers discovered that alcohol was being served to minors. Additionally, authorities seized 13 doses of hashish and three doses of cocaine.
The owner of the establishment has been reported to authorities for drug possession with intent to distribute. The premises face definitive seizure and heavy administrative sanctions due to the various legal violations identified during the inspection.
