Siracusa province real estate shows high housing cost disparities

In contrast, Augusta offers much higher affordability, requiring only 2.9 years of income for a similar property.
The median value for real estate across the 21 municipalities in the territory is 680 euros per square meter. Siracusa remains the most expensive area with a central value of 1,130 euros per square meter, while Noto follows with a central price of 890 euros per square meter, necessitating 4.4 years of income.
Other notable locations include Floridia, Palazzolo Acreide, and Carlentini, which all sit above the provincial average. In the mid-range market, Melilli averages 700 euros per square meter. While Augusta, Francofonte, and Rosolini share a central price of 690 euros per square meter, the impact on household budgets varies significantly, with Francofonte requiring 4.2 years of income compared to Augusta’s sub-three-year requirement.
