Siracusa to commemorate Emma Bonino

The city of Siracusa is preparing to honor the memory of Emma Bonino, the prominent radical leader, former parliamentarian, and multiple-time minister, who passed away on September 11.

In collaboration with the municipal Women's Consultative Body, a commemorative ceremony is scheduled for Monday, October 5, at the Urban Center. The event is part of the “La Siracusa delle donne” project, which aims to highlight female figures who have significantly impacted civil, social, and institutional growth at both local and national levels. The ceremony will include institutional greetings from Mayor Francesco Italia and various commemorative speeches.
