Siracusa water outage threatens tourism as central pipe breaks

A branch of the DN 600 water main serving Bufalaro Basso in central Siracusa ruptured inside a private property, forcing the operator Aretusacque to shut the main conduit for safety. The break left most of the historic centre, including the residential district of Pizzuta, without water.
