Sirajuddin Haqqani calls for national unity in Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani has called for increased national unity and improved relations between citizens and security forces. Speaking in Khost province, Haqqani emphasized that maintaining security is a shared responsibility rather than a duty solely for police personnel.

He urged religious scholars, preachers, and tribal elders to promote reconciliation and social cohesion to end longstanding hostilities. Haqqani also instructed security officials to interact with the public with respect and good manners, following the directives of the Islamic Emirate’s leadership.

Regarding the national situation, the minister expressed optimism about Afghanistan’s progress toward reconstruction and self-sufficiency. He claimed that security incidents nationwide have fallen to nearly zero and suggested that certain individuals are attempting to spread anxiety despite improvements in stability.
