Siri outperforms Gemini in AI inbox management tests

A comparative test conducted by PCMag evaluated the performance of Apple’s Siri and Google’s Gemini in managing personal inbox information. The testing involved basic queries, highly specific searches for buried details, and complex multi-step instructions using an iPhone 17 Pro Max and a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Siri demonstrated superior depth of understanding and detail handling. In multi-step tasks, such as calculating total spending from food delivery services, Siri provided accurate results while Gemini missed entries, leading to errors. Siri also proved faster in several complex scenarios, such as recommending nearby hotels.

While Gemini showed advantages in speed for certain simple searches, it frequently struggled with accuracy in complex tasks or failed to access specific shopping records. Siri’s ability to provide comprehensive responses, including detailed transaction charts and direct links to source emails, was noted as a significant practical advantage for users seeking precise personal information.
