Sirohi hosts 54th Garba Mahotsav at Ramjharkha Ground

The 54th Garba Mahotsav has commenced at Ramjharkha Ground in Sirohi, organized by the Jagdambe Navyuvak Mandal. The festival began with the ritual installation of the Goddess Jagdamba idol and the establishment of the Ghat.

To mark the occasion, an eternal flame (Akhand Jyot) was brought from the Arasna Ambaji Shakti Peeth. The idol, which depicts the eight-armed Goddess riding a lion and slaying the demon Mahishasura, was crafted by a skilled sculptor from Bengal using sacred pond clay.

Over the next nine days, the festivities will include Garba dancing, the recitation of the Durga Saptashati, and various other religious ceremonies. Large crowds of devotees gathered for the evening Aarti to seek blessings for prosperity and well-being.
