Sista Afia issues apology and offers support to Ghanaian celebrities

Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has issued a public apology following backlash over a viral video in which she requested a music collaboration with dancehall artist Stonebwoy. While the video was intended as a lighthearted appeal, some social media users interpreted the approach as disrespectful. In a post on X, Sista Afia clarified that her request stemmed from admiration and denied any intention to cause offense or fuel rumors of a feud.

Separately, Sista Afia expressed solidarity with actress and fashion icon Nana Akua Addo during a period of personal difficulty involving Addo’s marriage to Harold Duodu Norman. Sista Afia offered emotional support and prayers to Addo, noting her own past experiences with similar emotional pain. This gesture follows public legal disputes regarding an alleged 2021 incident involving Addo and Norman.
