Sistema Faemg Senar concludes agricultural residency program
Sistema Faemg Senar concluded its Agricultural Residency Program, an initiative by Senar Central designed to provide practical training for professionals in agricultural sciences. Over a six-month period, ten residents completed 960 hours of activities that combined theoretical training with hands-on experience on rural properties.
The program included technical visits, supervision, analysis of productive and managerial indicators, and methodological training. Participants also utilized monitoring systems to track results on assisted properties. The initiative aims to prepare professionals for the realities of field work by focusing on three fundamental pillars: technical knowledge, management, and interpersonal relationships.
Celso Furtado Júnior, superintendent of Senar Minas, noted that the program encourages participants to view rural properties as businesses. Technical supervisor Ícaro Nogueira highlighted the residents' evolution in technical execution, confidence in communicating with producers, and improvements in behavioral skills such as posture and oratory.
