Sistema FAEP launches Brazil's first agricultural machinery escort course

Sistema FAEP has launched a first-of-its-kind training course in Brazil focused on the escort of agricultural machinery on public roads. The initiative was developed in response to Contran Resolution 1.017/2024, which established new criteria for the registration and circulation of tractors and other agricultural equipment on public highways.

Under the new regulations, machinery with a width exceeding 2.80 meters requires an escort during transit. While the resolution does not mandate specific training—requiring only that the driver be licensed and the vehicle be in good condition—the course aims to provide safety guidance for producers and their families.

Developed in collaboration with rural unions and the State Highway Police, the training covers essential procedures such as signaling the road, guiding other motorists, and contacting authorities during unforeseen incidents. The program is the first of its kind offered through Senar services in Brazil.
