Sister of murdered truck driver in Santiago reports death threats

Sarah Seline Abreu, the sister of murdered garbage truck driver Deivy Carlos Abreu Quezada, has reported receiving death threats following her public calls for justice. The threats reportedly occurred after she spoke out in defense of her brother, who was killed by a group of motorcyclists while performing waste collection duties in Santiago de los Caballeros.

Sarah Seline Abreu stated she received a direct warning, “Te voy a matar” (I am going to kill you), and intends to file a formal complaint with the Prosecutor's Office. She noted that her lawyer has allegedly identified the individual responsible for the intimidation. The family continues to seek legal accountability for the original murder, which remains under judicial investigation.
