Sisu uses weighted Enem scores for university admissions

In the Sisu (Unified Selection System), the weight assigned to different Enem exam scores can significantly alter a candidate's ranking. Participating institutions have the authority to assign different weights to specific areas—such as Languages, Human Sciences, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and the Essay—as well as set minimum score requirements for each area.

Because these weights vary depending on the specific course, shift, and institution, a student may have different average scores for different degree options. This means that two courses with the same name at different universities might use entirely different calculation criteria.

Instead of a simple average, Sisu uses a weighted average. To calculate this, each Enem score is multiplied by its corresponding weight, the results are summed, and the total is then divided by the sum of all weights.
