Sitanshu Kotak discusses India's 2027 World Cup prospects

Indian batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has discussed the squad outlook for the 2027 ODI World Cup, highlighting the importance of veteran experience and the high level of internal competition.

Kotak backed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for the 2027 tournament, noting that his experience and ability to control scoring rates with left-arm spin are invaluable assets. He described Jadeja as an “outstanding all-rounder” whose presence in the squad is significant due to his skill with both bat and ball.

Regarding opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kotak praised him as one of the team’s best batters but noted the intense competition for spots. He advised Jaiswal to continue working hard and waiting for opportunities, explaining that even top performers may face limited playing time due to the depth of talent in the squad.
