Sitges Film Festival 2026 Announces Horror-Focused Lineup for October

The 59th edition of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival will take place in the Catalan coastal town of Sitges from 8 to 18 October 2026. Organisers highlighted a program centred on horror cinema, featuring new releases, celebrated directors and a series of restored classics. The festival’s emblem this year is the 1976 Brian De Palma adaptation of Stephen King’s *Carrie*, with a 4K restoration of the film and a preview of the upcoming television series by Mike Flanagan slated to debut at the event.

Attendees can also expect a mix of international and Spanish genre titles, special screenings and tributes that underscore the vitality of contemporary and historic horror filmmaking.
