Sitges implements new security measures for Festa Major

The municipality of Sitges is implementing new security and logistical measures for the Festa Major de Sant Bartomeu. To manage large crowds and improve safety, the city council has reorganized pedestrian traffic flows.

On August 23, access from Passeig de la Ribera to Carrer Major will be restricted following the 21 morteretes to prevent congestion during the Sortida de les Dues. Additionally, traffic management will be in place during the evening to separate those watching the fireworks from the civic procession. Specific access routes via Carrers Sant Gaudenci, Sant Josep, and Bonaire are recommended for spectators.

Separately, the Festa Major de Coma-ruga is scheduled to begin this Thursday.
