Sithonia beachgoer saves three people from drowning

Ivan Katancevic, a vacationer from Nis, saved three people from drowning at Sikia Beach in Sithonia. Despite warnings regarding strong winds and high waves, Katancevic was at the beach with his family when he witnessed two boys being swept approximately 30 meters from the shore while searching for shells.

With no lifeguard present on the beach, Katancevic swam out to assist. Working with the boy's father, he successfully brought the child to shallow water. Shortly after, he observed a woman and her daughter being swept 40 meters away by strong waves. Katancevic entered the water a second time, using a swimming aid provided by a bystander to reach them. He managed to keep the woman above water until her husband arrived to take the child, allowing them all to return to safety.
