Sitinjau Lauik: Two vehicles fall into ravine in Padang

A truck and an L300 vehicle fell into a ravine in the Sitinjau Lauik area, specifically at the Tunggua climb near Panorama II, in the early hours of Saturday, September 12, 2026.

According to the Padang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the incident occurred at approximately 02:20 WIB. The truck was carrying two individuals from Padang Sidempuan, identified as 49-year-old Heri and 31-year-old Aman Siregar. All occupants of both the truck and the L300 were successfully evacuated and reported to be safe without fatal injuries.

The rescue operation was conducted by a joint team including the BPBD Padang Quick Response Team, Basarnas, the Lubuk Kilangan Police, and volunteers from Rumah Zakat and Morolla.
