Sittard-Geleen sports club organizes community facility cleanup

A local sports association in the Sittard-Geleen region has organized a community cleanup event scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026. The initiative, titled ‘The Big Clean Up’, aims to prepare the facility for the upcoming official competition season.

Volunteers are tasked with various maintenance duties, including cleaning dugouts, goalposts, and the conservatory, as well as weeding and repairing nets and advertising boards. While the municipality of Sittard-Geleen handles major maintenance through the Sportstichting, the association manages specific tasks to ensure the complex is ready for players, staff, and supporters.
