Sittard hosts Oktoberfeest and local birth event

The municipality of Sittard-Geleen is hosting several community-focused events. The 21st edition of the Oktoberfeest will take place from October 16 to October 21, centered around the theme ‘Zusammen feiern’. The six-day festival features various musical programs, including German, Austrian, and Cologne-style music at the Brand Weizen pavilion, as well as contemporary music at the Boels Rental pavilion.

Additionally, the sixth Geboorte Event (Birth Event) is scheduled for October 9 at De Oase Sittard. This free evening is designed for pregnant women and new mothers to connect with local maternity care professionals. The event aims to provide reliable information and inspiration through personal contact and live demonstrations regarding baby wearing and parenthood.
