Sivakasi woman allegedly kills man following reported harassment

A 26-year-old man, Thanga Muneeswaran, was allegedly killed by a woman at her residence in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, following reports of repeated harassment.

Muneeswaran had recently been released on bail in connection with a robbery case involving a six-member gang that had allegedly trespassed into the woman's home in May. According to police, after his release, Muneeswaran began visiting the woman's house daily, picking fights and sexually harassing her.

In response to the alleged harassment, the woman reportedly lured Muneeswaran to her home, where she threw chilli powder into his eyes. As he became disoriented, she allegedly attacked him with a sickle, inflicting fatal injuries to his neck. The body was sent to the Government Medical College Hospital in Virudhunagar for a post-mortem examination.
