Sivas development integrates Kale Çiftlik project with Sarissa Ancient City

In the Altınyayla district of Sivas, Turkey, the Kale Çiftlik project is progressing as a major agro-tourism investment. Designed with medieval castle-style walls, the facility will include a hotel, guest houses, and various social amenities. The project aims to create an integrated tourism experience by connecting with the nearby Sarissa Ancient City.

Visitors to the Kale Çiftlik site will have access to activities such as horseback riding, ATV tours, and cycling trips to the archaeological site. The facility will also serve as a production hub for livestock and dairy, housing 2,000 small ruminants, 100 buffalo, and 500 Saanen goats.

Archaeological excavations at Sarissa Ancient City, a 3,500-year-old Hittite religious and administrative center, are scheduled to resume in 2027 under the leadership of Istanbul University. The site is historically significant as a location for Hittite religious ceremonies and is noted for being the site of the first written agreement between the Hittites and Egyptians. Previous excavations have uncovered palace ruins, 52 tablets, and a temple covering 4,600 square meters.
