Sivas Municipality launches Rota Sivas tourism initiative

Sivas Municipality, in collaboration with Sivas Cumhuriyet University (SCU), has introduced the ‘Rota Sivas’ tourism vision to enhance the city’s tourism potential. The initiative includes the launch of the ‘Rota Sivas’ mobile application, which is the first of its kind in Turkey to utilize artificial intelligence to guide tourists through the region’s historical, cultural, and natural sites.

As part of the launch, the ‘Sivas Tourism Destination 2026’ book, an 18-month academic study edited by Mayor Adem Uzun, was presented. The project also showcased a model and virtual reality simulation of the ‘Kale Project,’ a long-standing urban development goal for the city. The digital application aims to provide a comprehensive guide for visitors, integrating information on museums, historical structures, and natural beauties to strengthen the city’s digital tourism infrastructure.
