Sivas neighborhood welcomes returning stork family

In the Abdulvahabi Gazi neighborhood of Sivas, a family of storks has become a local fixture by returning to the same nest on an electric pole every year. The birds arrive in March as the weather warms, laying eggs and raising their young in the region.

A natural cycle has emerged where, after the parent storks migrate to warmer climates, the offspring return to the same nest in subsequent years to raise their own young. Local residents, including Yakup Kavlak, describe the birds as neighbors and view their arrival as a herald of spring.
